Camp Olowalu

Such a beautiful campsite! Probably my favorite that we stayed at in all of Maui. It does give you a more luxurious camping experience. For me, this meant I was grateful for nice walking areas, clean bathrooms, and a shower (which was a must being this was the last site of our trip)!! The price is so worth this and access to a beautiful beach. We got to see a sea turtle from the sand too! If we had more time, I bet the snorkeling would’ve been well worth it! Stayed there multiple nights, we enjoyed the beach for whale watching. The facilities were clean and well maintained. And we had a nice hot shower every morning. Would come back here for sure. We stayed there with a car with rooftop tent.

Attended women’s surf camp in the A-frame cabins here. It is just wonderful! Quaint, as close to the ocean as you can get without floating away, quiet and fabulous. Everything is fairly rustic, like upscale camping. But they keep it very clean and well maintained. It is Hawaii, so there will be critters and lots of noisy roosters growing in the night and day. Bring your earplugs and your camping sensibilities.

We car camped this. A beautiful place to stay. Bring strong mosquitoe repellent. There is road noise and many roosters, but they sell ear plugs. Also don't turn your back on your food with the chickens. Our favorite place that we camped on Maui.
