Camp Noyo

About Camp Noyo
Established in 2012. Camp Noyo was first developed as a logging camp for the Union Lumber Company in 1907. Originally called "Camp Four," it was the fourth camp established by the lumber company as they progressed east from Fort Bragg along the current route of the California Western Railroad. In 1933, the Union Lumber Company donated the property to the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts began using the site in the summer 1934 and continue to use the property for several weeks every summer. In 2012, Allan Hemphill, his son Brian, and a small group of family friends purchased the property from the Boy Scouts. The Hemphill family has been care taking Camp Noyo for over 60 years. We decieded to open the property to the public in 2015 for camping in the summer.

The hospitality and location were amazing, so many little touches in camp. Truly one of the best camping (glamping) experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you!
beautiful, peaceful place, really liked and appreciated Lynn the host, and am so grateful that we found a spot that was completely peaceful on July 4th. planning to be back
Camp Noyo is fantastic! It's off the grid camping - deep in the woods, no cell reception so everyone can tune out and tune in, wonderful river with epic scenes, but it's also has the essential amenities for comfort - stoves, flushing toilets, showers, running water, kitchen items. Plus the host Lynn is a gem! She's super helpful, thoughtful and welcoming. Using the kayaks, canoes and paddle boats was awesome. Warning it's a long drive from the Hwy 20, but well worth it; you feel like you have arrived at a small paradise. Also, you will have to transport your stuff across a suspension bridge…
This is a special place, that is all I can say. From the beauty of the river to the thoughtful ammenities and the staff that truly care about your experience. I will be back
Great location. Water is cold but the location and the activities are well worth it. We will return and try to time it when its really hot.
