The perfect basecamp for Big Bend and that outdoor shower is unforgettable. Spent two nights at The Bus Stop while exploring Big Bend National Park, and I couldn’t have asked for a better home base. The campsite has everything you need — comfortable, well-equipped, and nothing feels like an afterthought. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, but the real standout is the open-air shower. Absolutely lovely place to stay. Close to both Big Bend State and National parks, clean, and plenty of space for 3 people. The covered patio was perfect during the heat of the day, and for sitting around a small campfire at night. One of the most unique and charming places we've ever stayed. 100% recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Wanted to give this place 5 stars, but there was one major issue I couldn’t overlook—the showers and bathrooms had broken locks. I understand camping comes with a more rugged experience, but basic safety and privacy shouldn’t be compromised. That said, there were several positives. The WiFi was strong and reliable, the water pressure and temperature were excellent, and the grills and sinks were clean and well maintained.
