Always love tent camping here. It's a short walk to the water and floating the river is relaxing, just be sure to check water levels and do a short float first to judge water speed before trying to plan out a 3+ hour float. Once tried to do too long of a float and had to swim/run the last 4 miles to get to the campground before dark
After a rough experience in 2024, we tried Buffalo Point again for our annual couples float trip. After a reservations mishap the year before, everything went smoothly this time! (The new woman in charge is doing a great job - thank you!!) Overall, don't expect anything super fancy, but the lodging (cabin/duplex), grounds, and restaurant are adequate for a state-park experience weekend away in a beautiful part of the country.
