We have an 80-acre Organic Medjool Date farm located at the base of the Gila Mountains in Wellton, AZ. We are a bit off the beaten path but once you get here it's so worth the drive. The star gazing is amazing and if you like off-roading there are trails everywhere out here! We have an onsite Brewery and restaurant, open seasonally to guests and to the public. High Tanks Brewing Co is open November-April, Thu-Sun. Throughout this season we offer many fun things to do such as farm tours, live music, cornhole tournaments, yoga, farm-to-table style dinners, and much more. We have been to the farm (and pizza restaurant in town) several times but this was our first time glamping. Our group rented three tents and they were very comfortable for a night; toilets and showers brightly lit and clean. During the day, we enjoyed live music and good food/drinks with a larger group of friends. Friendly staff! Nice firepits at campsites. A fun stop if you're passing through or want a quick get away from town to see the night sky. Breakfast is not offered but Ligurta Station has comfort food just down the road. A wonderful, unique experience. Had went to visit the brewery and didn't know they had the bell tents. Came back two night later and spent the night. Few things I would list. 1. Great food at the brewery. Smoke their own meats and local produce. 2. Night skies were incredible. The view walking in the date farm is amazing. 3. Tents were heated (if going early in year) and beds comfortable. Personal propane fire pit was nice. 4. Beer very good.
I reserved a spot at the farm and had no idea what to expect. Camping among the date trees was a great experience. The shade from the trees was a great relief from the 90 degree heat. The site was unique with great views of the surrounding mountains. Bathrooms with running water, showers and laundry facilities was the added bonus.
Very cool spot. Unexpected weekend parties with live music just past Yuma. Ends early enough for a good nights rest for families.
This is a great place to camp very friendly, well groomed, and great music.
