Lots of shade, the creek and swimming holes were amazing for an afternoon cool off (or 3!), the porta potty was honestly the cleanest I've ever seen one, it was super quiet with lots of space between sites. We brought our own propane fire pit and we're able to have s'mores and enjoy the next best thing to a wood fire. You could hear the road but I hardly noticed. This might become our annual summer camping trip!
Pros: beautiful campground, good facilities (bathrooms / water / table and chairs) Cons: unfortunately it was far too close to the highway for us and the noise from the cars made it difficult to enjoy the campsite. It does mention the highway in the description which we should have read more carefully. We ended up not staying for the night because it was too noisy.
Our second time here and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. I chose the Maple Tree site this time at Black Oak Ranch because of its proximity to the swimming hole, and we were so glad! The creek is beautiful, the swimming hole is big and deep, and nature shows her beautiful sparkling self in all her glory. The stars, the river rocks in blues and greens, a little fox, frogs, minnows, wild thyme—California camping ❤️
What a beautiful spot! We will definitely visit again. We had to change our travel plans due to car issues, and Biasha was very accommodating. She responded to my messages quickly. The portable toilets were clean and the property was well maintained.
Super cool spot. Spacious sites with many beautiful trees.
We stayed here for a night and really enjoyed it. Clean, spacious grassy sites. Water and clean portable toilets as well as picnic tables/chairs were provided.
