Unplug and relax at this secluded and private, off-grid, glam-camping experience on 16 private wooded acres 3 miles from downtown Hot Springs National Park! Walk or bike the onsite trails, prepare meals in the well equipped kitchenette, lounge in the hammock, enjoy a campfires, star gaze, sleep soundly in a real queen bed, and use Black Fox Den as your base for exploring Hot Springs. Designed by tent campers for tent campers and people who have never camped before. This is off-grid,10'x12' safari tent with real queen pillow top bed and comfy bedding, covered patio and prep kitchen, bistro table & chairs, 2-person hammock, stone fire-pit, charcoal grill, 2-burner camp stove, picnic table and a pantry of cooking gear. All of the get-back-to-nature peace and quiet without all of the loading, unloading, setting up and breaking down of camp! ALL YOU NEED TO PACK: Clothes (layers recommended), footwear suitable for the natural terrain, warm socks, personal hygiene items, sunscreen, charcoal for the grill, cooler with ice, food, drinks and a sense of <comfortable> adventure! PROVIDED AT CAMP: The waterproof 10'x12' tent includes: Queen pillow top mattress, box spring and sleigh bed frame All bedding (cozy layers provided during cooler months) Propane heater with heat sink fan (October-March) Battery powered string and bedside lighting Bluetooth speaker Books, cards & games Luggage stand Towels and wash clothes Portable Fan(s) Flashlights & lanterm Battery-powered USB phone charger Metal roof shade structure over the tent to keep it cooler in the summer with an added bonus of lulling sounds of the rain on a tin roof COVERED PREP KITCHEN / PATIO: Foot pump operated sink with 7 gallon holding tank of water (refilled as needed) Pantry with room to store your food Sponge, dish soap, dish towels, dish drainer, paper towels Cast iron and stainless pots and pans Grilling tools and marshmallow/hot dog sticks Mugs, cups, wine glasses Plates, bowls, mixing bowls, strainer, cheese grater, cutting boards Forks, spoons, knives, and cooking/serving utensils Salt, pepper, olive oil and herbs/spices Aluminum foil, baggies and paper towels 2 burner propane Coleman camp stove (propane provided) Over-the-campfire cooking grate Battery powered string lighting Lantern and flashlights Chairs and bistro table First aid kit Insect repellent spray Hand soap, hand sanitizer, all-purpose cleaner, and Lysol wipes COFFEE STATION: French press, percolator coffee pot, ground coffee, filters, sugar & substitutes, creamers, cocoa, and teas. OUTDOOR AREA INCLUDES: Stone fire pit A complementary bundle of wood and fire starter provided; additional wood bundles for sale at a self-serve wood station Charcoal grill (charcoal NOT provided) Adirondack chairs and side tables Shaded picnic table 2-person hammock Onsite parking Fire extinguisher MISCELLANEOUS: Low light pollution and open sky star gazing spots around the property if you want to bring your telescope and/or photography equipment Electric vehicle charging possible at restrooms (discuss with hosts first) Luggage/gear drop off before check-in may be possible on request 1 mile of private trails on-property for hiking, mountain biking and e-biking Wildlife sightings are common, especially deer and wild turkeys SHARED CAMPGROUND RESTROOMS: Approximately 1/8th mile walk or drive - includes a half bath and a separate three-quarter bath with shower, sink, vanity, mirror and toilet. Both bathrooms have running hot and cold water, tankless hot water heater, electricity and septic. Hand soap, towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer and toilet paper provided. There are no restroom facilities at Black Fox Den. Restrooms may be shared with up to 2 other glampers, and are cleaned/sanitized daily when both glampsites are occupied. DOG FRIENDLY: Well-behaved, house broken dogs of any size and any breed welcomed. Dog(s) must remain under control, leashed and with owners at all times. For their safety, dogs cannot be left alone at camp even if they are crated or tethered. Trails, parks, downtown and many nearby restaurants are dog friendly! Bona fide Service Animals welcomed! Due to the remoteness of the surrounding area, it is not a safe or suitable environment for non-dog pets or non-dog emotional support animals. EV: There is a high-speed DC electric car charging station located 3 miles from camp. NATURE: There is still camp in the glamp! You may encounter bugs, wind, rain, sun, wildlife... we strive to make sure our guests are comfortable, but Black Fox Den is purposely situated in nature and nature is part of the package. NOTE FOR COOL WEATHER STAYS (Mid-November - March): Winter in Arkansas can be cold but bearable, and great for hiking/biking and s'mores next to the fire with average daytime highs in the 40s/50s and overnight lows in the 20s/30s. We provide several layers of warm blankets and an indoor-safe propane heater with heat sink fan to keep the tent cozy overnight. Camp is off-grid. No electric, air conditioning, internet, cable or running water provided at the campsite. Lighting, Bluetooth speaker, device charger and portable fans are battery powered and the kitchen sink foot-pump operated from a 7 gallon potable water holding tank that can be refilled on request. Electric, running water and septic are all available at the shared restrooms.
