Such a sweet forest - camp sites are spacious. Gotta reserve by 2pm though. No last minute camping 🙃
Nice hike around the lake loop and lookout
Beartown State Forest has a lot of natural potential but the overall experience is just average. The trails are decent and the forest itself is beautiful in spots, but maintenance is inconsistent — overgrown sections, unclear markings, and restrooms that leave a lot to be desired. Dog-friendly enough but nothing particularly special. A solid option if you're nearby, just don't expect a polished experience.
