We had a great stay at Bayou Marino RV Park. The setting is exactly what you’re looking for if you want to be on the water—peaceful, laid-back. Although baseball is what brought us into town, fishing was the big highlight for us. My son was able to catch a solid 19” redfish right off the dock, which pretty much made the trip. You actually have a real shot from land—not just casting and hoping. The park itself was very well kept—the lawn and grounds were clean and maintained. Hands-down, one of the nicest RV spaces we’ve ever had. Richard was every bit as welcoming, kind, and fun as all the reviews I read said. He is a most excellent host! The spot he gave us was overlooking the fishing dock and the Bayou, with the geese and the ducks on the far bank watching us. The park was beautifully maintained, and we could not have asked for a better space. We will certainly stop here the next time we come through Lake Charles. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We stopped for one night we had a huge 45 foot RV and the owner was amazing. Location beautiful and we got some really good rest. Property is very clean and enjoyable. Highly recommend and we appreciate the welcoming.
Highly recommend the wonderful stay in this very friendly park with views of a beautiful lake. Richard, the owner was a pleasure to get to know. Before arrive, he provided detailed instructions as well as a recommendation for an excellent BBQ restaurant near his park. After arrival, both Richard and Sonya (the camp host) made a point of coming to talk to us and make us feel welcome throughout our stay.
