Gorgeous spot conveniently located right on the Poudre River. Plenty of room for a large tent, fire and picnic table. Can be a little loud being in a valley right on the highway but you can't beat the water access and convenience of getting there. Will definitely be back.
So.... First off. Putting low stars beacuse of mosquitoes, for me is ridiculous... Ok now... this place is absolutely amazing.... I have stayed 4 or 5 times now. Its VERY isolated and PRIVET! River runs right by you. Yes bugs and mosquitoes, BUT not all the time. Just stayed 4 days and it was fine... If you want to be close to nature, look no further. Calm. Gas station about 3 miles away. Iv gone with my electric scooter. Clean. Trash avaliable. Portapotry. No electricity. No water. In between hills BUT still get PLENTY of sun. I LOVE this place, I cant say it enough... Thanks again.
Fly away campsite was great! Beautiful area down by the water. Camp site was super easy to find. Has a fire pit and picnic table which was so nice to have. Close to the road but it’s not busy and the river sound covers most of the noise. Would definitely come back!
With the provided instructions the location was easy to find, and absolutely gorgeous! Multiple trails within a 10 minute drive and the sounds of the river were beyond peaceful to fall asleep to. The available portapotty was quite literally the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Overall, favorite spot I stayed out of a 13 day stretch in Colorado!
The spot itself is perfect. Theres shade, soft ground, lots of sand and then the river right there. Port a potty was super clean. It’s about 20 yards from parking down to your spot so very secluded which was lovely. Theres was a picnic table but only one broken chair which was a bummer bc it’s advertised with 4 chairs and we didn’t bring ours. Not the end of the world. The fire pit was clean and someone left some extra wood. But be forewarned especially with young kiddos the road noise was unbearable. During the day didn’t think much of it and once it was dark we thought it might die down. It …
