Perfect getaway in Grass valley/Nevada City! You’ll love it!

Siobhan’s place was great! It was super quiet yet still a 10 minute drive into either Nevada City or Grass Valley. Both towns are wonderful, artsy little places with good food and interesting wares. Siobhan was always quick to respond when I needed something. There was laundry and trash disposal on site which was great. Also a sauna but I didn’t use it. Siobhan provided WiFi but I found it only worked for Netflix if you let it buffer a while. I couldn’t do basic internet browsing or video calls with her WiFi, but I was able to get decent Verizon service using my hotspot. Starlink wouldn’t work…

This was such a lovely spot! If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we would definitely stay again! Siobhan was lovely, kind, and communicative, and she shares so many of her amenities with guests! We thought the summer time weather was a bit too hot to try out her sauna, but if we were there in the winter?? What a treat! We did take her up on the use of her laundry machine. We have solar panels and while we weren’t able to get *quite* enough sun to be sustainable in a long-term way, we had enough for the few days we were there and were able to supplement with the electrical hookups she p…

The site was convent and private. Near lots of trails and Nevada City was the place to be on a Friday night.

Siobhan is a wonderful host. The spot is a great home base to explore the area. It's a sizeable level backyard space in a quiet neighborhood with kind neighbors. Nice trail walking distance Plus water, power and laundry? Can't beat it.
