Bakersfield KOA Journey

Great stop over place, could upgrade the sandy sites to paved.

We booked a spot here as we were attending and participating in the National Street Rod Association event that occurred here this last weekend. We were thrilled to have the option a few sites that are "pet friendly" (meaning your RV spot has a mini fenced-in area), and they of course also have a full sized "dog run" area (at another location in the Park), we had great interaction with Sherie (sp?) who is the General Manager of the Park. Excellent outstanding and very clean. The people that work there is excellent outstanding.

We stayed at Bakersfield KOA recently. We were in town for an all breed dog show. Because we were at the dog show most of our time we didn't use any of the amenities. Our encounter with the staff was pleasant and professional. The reason for the three star review is the grounds at the campground. There are more stickers/thorns than there is grass. This made it impossible to walk our dog without having to remove, literally, dozens of thorns from her feet and coat. Before I stay at this KOA again, I will ask if the grounds are in better condition.
