Fall asleep watching the twinkling stars through the smoke hole of an authentic tipi and wake up to a rooster crow on this living ranch. This unique location allows you to get away from it all and forget you’re only 15 minutes away from bustling Roseville. We guarantee your stay will be unlike any other you’ve ever experienced. This authentic tipi is all decorated in the tradition of our Native American family and can accommodate up to two guests in a spacious queen-size bed. The bed features a comfy feather topper, fluffy pillows, and warm blankets. A cozy full-size futon sofa bed is also included with luxurious warm bedding and accommodates two additional guests. The tipi walls are canvas and the floor is covered by plush rugs. We provide a fan to keep you cool in the summer months and a quiet heater to keep you warm at night. Drinking water is available, along with a full sink for hand-washing and freshening up. A fully stocked outhouse is also provided with everything you need to tidy up; however, there are no showers. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the rustic elegance of a traditional teepee, or snuggle up next to the cozy fireplace outside, fully stocked with firewood and all the fixings for s’mores. Then, fall asleep stargazing from the comfort of your cozy bed and listen to the comforting sounds of the animals settling down to sleep. In the morning, we provide a complimentary breakfast to all our guests, which includes fresh baked goods from our cottage bakery. A full ranch breakfast of bacon, sausage, and fresh ranch eggs may also be provided at request for an additional fee. Spend the day enjoying our lovely picnic table area in the olive grove - the perfect area to eat, lounge, and watch the goats play the day away. A full tour of our family ranch may also be scheduled as an add-on so you can get to know the many rare breeds that you are sharing the land with. Or, let our Friesian Horses capture your heart with our popular Friesian Experience. Our ranch is home to wild birds as well. Meditate and birdwatch in our olive grove for a rejuvenating, peaceful afternoon. You may hear the warble of Sandhill Cranes flying over, see Red-tailed Hawks diving into tall grass for dinner, or even witness majestic Bald Eagles perched high in a tree. If you’d prefer, you can also plan a day trip to one of the many local attractions. We’re minutes away from Folsom Lake, where you can rent a paddleboard, go for a swim, go hiking, or fishing. We’re also just 20 minutes from historic Auburn, which offers boutique shopping, and you can hardly drive 5 minutes in any direction without finding yourself at one of Placer County’s local wineries or breweries. Granite Bay is home to many fine dining and casual eating options. If you’d like to stay in, we invite you to have the most “farm-to-fork” experience possible and have us arrange a supper of heritage meat and garden vegetables for you.
