I loved the small cabin #1 on Carrie and Tom's land. It was the perfect amount of space for two people. Tom was super friendly and made his rounds everyday to make sure we had everything we needed. The river was so close we could walk right down and fish. The grounds were well kept clean and always kept warm in 20 degree low temps with plenty of heaters and an extra blanket to hang over our door for extra warmth. We will be coming back in the spring and summer and bringing friends for sure to enjoy with us! A+++++
TLDR: The price was great. The dogs loved it. The staff was super friendly. I would return again. This place served as a base camp for our group while we hiked several trails in the surrounding area. Make no mistake these are minimalist cabins. You get a bed, microwave, K-Cup coffee maker, mini fridge, heater, A/C unit, and a couple of outlets. Getting There: The facility was easy to find. I would caution against using Davidson River Rd. It's very rough as tracked equipment has left some harsh tracks in the road limiting speeds to 10-15mph. Better to come down Hwy 64 to Rosman and up NC-215.…
