Arrowhead Getaway

This was the perfect campsite for us. Lisa was very responsive and helpful. Would certainly recommend!

What a great location! The drive in off the highway was beautiful. We were thrilled to find the teepee tent set up as we had camped in the rain the night before and it gave us an opportunity to dry everything out. The fire pit was a great bonus for a chilly evening. We heard elk bugles at night and had five deer come visit us in the morning.

This place was nice and definitely had its perks. The bed was a lot more comfortable than expected and there was plenty of fire wood on site. We even saw a bear which was really cool! The downside for us was that it wasn’t very private like we were hoping. Your literally feet from a fairly busy road and only a few yards from houses on either side of you. The other draw back was it took days to get in touch with the host. Calls, texts and emails with no response. We have very hectic busy lives and need to be able to schedule things out. Lisa’s campground was great. Very close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice private for spot camping.

Great spot! Lisa is a great and attentive hostess! This spot is not remote in the sense of isolation. It is located right off a private drive with neighbor cabins nearby. This could be a positive or negative, depending on what you are looking for. I enjoyed my week long stay there.

Wonderfully secluded with quiet and solitude. Far enough away to feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but close enough to see the sights.
