We booked through HIPCAMP (do not recommend). The camp site is beautiful but be warned that there are more mosquitoes than you’ll ever imagine. It’s insane. The camp site we got was site 23 and it was TINY. Our 10 person tent (we brought 4 people) would not fit. The wood we bought from the camp site store was wet, so it wouldn’t light. The outhouses were nicely stocked and well kept. The canoes 🛶 were awesome, on site trails were nice. The scenery was beautiful. Sadly, we left after 1.5 days due to lots of rain and our stuff getting soaked. When I asked the host for a Refund for the remaini…
It's difficult to describe just how beautiful this place is. We've stayed in the fall and winter and regardless of season - it's breathtaking. The accommodations are comfortable, clean, and tie into the setting perfectly. There is no shortage of activities to take part in. Staying at AVR has become one of our family's favorite traditions.
