Anderson / Lake Hartwell KOA Holiday

We’ve stayed a lot of KOA’s in my 50 years of life. This one their staff are nice, but very strict. Never was told we couldn’t bring our own wood to a KOA before?! We could only buy theirs if we want a fire. We’ve never been charged for a cup of coffee in an office/store either?! Usually we’d go visit the staff in the office and chat it up over a cup if they weren’t busy of course. Like a family atmosphere. Always a coffee machine in the cabins in our experience. Clean place, but we felt like we had to tip toe for lack of better words. Hope this feedback helps.

No longer a KOA. Privately owned and has definitely gone down hill. So disappointed 😞. Had to leave and find another campground.

The owners (Chris specifically for me) were so kind and genuine and helpful. I needed to extend my stay, no issue. Needed a late check out, no issue. Needed a receipt for specific days, no issue. My car broke down and we had to stay extra, they were so flexible and accommodating. the bathrooms were clean and warm. The golf course was old but challenging. The disc golf. course was a nice stroll. The sites were clean and spaced well. Great stay, highly recommend. So affordable right near all the fun outdoors stuff Lake Hartwell offers and a short drive to clemson and Greenville.

We made late checkin and everything was great. In the middle of the forest. Tent sites was 49 usd Really clean bathrooms. A little outdated but functional. Great shower 💪
