American Heritage RV Park

Beautiful RV park and very quiet in late April. Many nice sites but you don't get to pick. We were put in what I considered a short site (#115) and asked to be moved (they wouldn't) but we ended up liking it - quiet and no one was next to us. All the other campers were very considerate and friendly, no rowdy campers the 5 nights we were there.

We really liked how close it was to the historical parks. It was also a great facility with a pool, pickleball courts, nice dog run, beautiful nature trail along their boundary. The staff was helpful to get us discounted tickets to the parks and answer any questions we had. The laundry facility was also a bonus.

We stayed for 2 nights. The roads are very tight to the rv sites. Our patio table and chairs were covered in bird poop, our fire ring was under a low bush so didn’t use. Arcade is a joke, one game was working and it was dirty as were the washing machines. Mini golf and horse shoes need lots of attention as do the chairs which were covered once again in bird poop. ATM in the store was out of order and when we told them our sewer connection had been broken and we needed to go buy another connection there was not even a mention of sending someone to look at it. Not great.

Very nice campground. Liked the spot we were in close to the bath house. One thing I was surprised was the pool was opened this early in the year the end of April. I was able to swim some laps. Very refreshing. The walking trails were very nice too in the woods. The staff was very friendly. The basketball court was nice also.
