This duplex cabin is stylishly furnished and has a shared large porch with other cabin. It also has it's own patio furniture, a wood-burning stove, mini-fridge, 40" flat screen TV, WiFi, microwave, Keurig coffee machine with pods, cream & sugar included, recessed lighting, ceiling fan and an AC/heater to make your stay even more comfortable. Speaking of understanding...we knew if we built it, they would eventually come! This cabin is one of 11 to choose from our Lodge - a boutique retreat destination on 40 acres of unspoiled nature with an unbelievably cool, one-of-a-kind historic bar and grill called Josie’s Hideout Saloon. Open Friday-Sunday till 5pm, with live music every weekend, weather permitting. Ask us about reserving out Josie's Hideout Saloon for your next epic once-a-year(or lifetime?!) No gathering too small! Your live music stage awaits! Imagine delicious catering options, DJs, a fog machine and disco balls! What are you waiting for?! Sound exciting enough? Keep reading for more details! Our backcountry locals aren't the only wildlife around here! This place is full of wild animals like deer, fox, raccoons, bats, ground squirrels and chipmunks. Keep a steady eye open for rattlesnakes, badgers and mountain lions, oh my! Make some noise so they know you're coming. Be not afraid, they're honestly more scared of us than we are of them! Once night falls, keep your ear's peeled for our local pack of coyotes while you star gaze under some of the darkest skies in San Diego County! We're also very proud to be a birder's paradise with more woodland birds here than you can shake a stick at! How about a chance to see(and hear!) turkeys, owls, scrub jays, cardinals, wood peckers, hawks, vultures and even the Western Tanager to name a few! Stroll the grounds and let us know what you discover! We love to encourage our guests to unplug and unwind, but in case you want to Netflix and chill, we have all the modern comforts of home covered here too. Before you turn in for the night, don't forget there is a community fire pit down by Josie's Backyard to enjoy the incredible night sky, offering the perfect place to meet other interesting guests and enjoy a glass of wine or beer after a day of local activities with your friends and loved ones. Firewood may be available for purchase on site, otherwise Lake Henshaw is your closet market for anything you might need. This is the ultimate getaway destination for a custom-made festival, wedding, specialized retreat, corporate meeting, team building, course training, family reunion, anniversary or just a romantic weekend with the ones you love! Again, between our 11 cabins, 2 retro campers and the historic Adobe Lake View Retreat House, In total we have over 26 beds that could potentially accommodate over 21 couples and up to 5 singles for a total of nearly 50 people with a few couch crashers! The Pet fee is $35. Unfortunately, only humans are allowed on the furniture and beds. Please message us in advanced if you plan to bring your pet.
