Glampers will fall in love with this authentic 18th-century farmhouse near Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The cottage is rich with rustic character and original features, but has been lovingly renovated to a fantastic standard, and includes many handy, modern amenities. Guests at this property can truly disconnect from everyday life, as there is no television, radio, or telephone, so it’s a perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with friends, family, and four-legged companions. This historic cottage will comfortably accommodate up to 10 glampers. There are five elegantly decorated and pretty bedrooms, three on the first floor and two on the second floor. In total, there are six twin beds, one double bed, and one queen-size bed, making the cottage great for families or large groups. For guests’ convenience, there are two delightful, contemporary bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom was renovated in 2014 and features a walk-in shower, and the downstairs bathroom boasts a chic clawfoot bathtub, so there is plenty of room for everyone to freshen up, ready for the day ahead. Inside, the cottage has antique pine floors and exposed beams. The living area features the original red-brick fireplace, and a wood-burning stove is the ideal focal point for chilly evenings. There’s plenty of comfortable seating space around the hearth for everyone to chat and enjoy some downtime. Next to the living area is a large, 10-seater dining table, made using wood from the host’s own trees, which is perfect for long, sociable meals and drinks. A charming farmhouse-style kitchen provides a light and spacious place to prepare meals. There are cheerful yellow walls and bright, white counters and appliances. The decor is in keeping with the period of the cottage, but there's no shortage of handy, modern gadgets, such as a fridge, a freezer, an oven, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and a toaster. The kitchen area has incredible natural light, making it an enjoyable space to whip up a delicious family feast. The host has provided all the dishes and utensils guests will need. Outside, the cottage is set on a lush, green lawn, and has a private porch area. Guests can relax on the comfy patio chairs, or enjoy an al fresco meal at the little table, which is tucked away, in privacy, at the back of the property. Guests can take advantage of some fantastic facilities at this great glamping site. There's a WiFi signal in several areas on the site, for those who need to stay connected. The site has its own dock area, with boats available to rent, including rowing boats and sailing boats. Guests who bring their own boats can rent a mooring or a space at the dock. For children, there is a fun rope swing feature, and also an on-site beach, ideal for families. The property includes a grassy lawn area, for all guests to enjoy, with a view of the harbor, and patio furniture. For convenience, a coin-operated laundry facility is available for washing and drying clothes, and towels and linens are provided, with the benefit of an exchange service during the stay. All guests will have access to a fully-equipped kitchen in their private accommodation.
