About 120 Acre Animal Sanctuary
Camp for a Cause. Glamp to Give Back. Every stay supports rescued horses and the healing they offer. Unplug under the stars. Reconnect with purpose. Rest in gratitude. Whether you’re bringing your RV, pitching your own tent, or staying in one of our cozy glamping tents, your stay helps make a difference. Raison d’être Ranch—French for “reason to be”—is more than just a name. It’s our mission, our heartbeat, and our why. Here on 120 peaceful acres, we’ve created a sanctuary for over 95 rescued horses, along with santuaried cows, goats, and a myriad of wildlife who call this sacred land home. From deer, pronghorn, and porcupine to coyotes, bald eagles, waterfowl, hawks, meadowlarks, mourning doves, and more—we honor all life here. Every night you spend here supports the lifelong care of our animals and the equine-partnered wellness programs that help people heal through their connection with these sentient beings. Dry camping. Tent camping. Glamping. Choose your style—and know that wherever you sleep, you’re standing for something bigger. While planning your stay, don’t forget to check out our special add-ons and romance packages! Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, a proposal, or simply want to create a ‘just because’ moment, we offer picnic setups, romantic touches, and more to make your time here magical. Want to go even deeper? Book one of our unique experiences—like meeting the herd, hearing their rescue stories, walking or grooming a horse, or participating in a private equine-partnered wellness session. We encourage you to book in advance to ensure availability. This isn’t just a stay—it’s a sanctuary experience. Camp with purpose. Glamp with gratitude. And give back to what matters. Candice and George were amazing hosts. The property is stunning. The horses were so fun to visit and camp near. The campsite had perfect views on every direction. I highly recommend checking out this site. You will not be disappointed!!
host George took care of us on arrival and was very kind and thoughtful. host Candice was very communicative and sweet via text. i highly recommend their offering of kombucha. serenity grove is nestled in tall ponderosa pine trees so you get plenty of shade and amazing smells. the campsite was clean and just beautiful. there are a lot of low to the ground cactus in the area but not on any of the paths. it is also the furthest from the rest of the campsites and horses. it’s a short walk to visit the sweet horses and lots of wildlife in the area, too. the cows mooing did keep me up some nights s…
A wonderful stay. The glamping site was peaceful and beautifully set up, with horses grazing nearby and plenty of other wildlife to watch. It was the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature. Would definitely come back.
Great hospitality and very welcoming. They let me hang out under cover while the rain passed through, and the kombucha is a must!
Gorgeous views from Serenity in the Pines looking over meadows. Cute picnic table a big help. So Many turkeys! Hosts were huge help when wind grabbed my tent, (very available!). Super Clean /stocked above ground tented toilet. Ability to use dumpster on exit a rarity!
